PRACTICE
Students' practice is one of the most important and mandatory forms of organizing training; it aims to consolidate and deepen theoretical knowledge, acquire independent work skills, and allows one to assess the level of acquired competencies.
The main bases of professional practice are the following organizations: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Office of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Office of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC NC KazMunayGas, Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Karachaganak Petroleum Operating, Institute of Economic Research, MOO "Business Council of Youth of Astana", Center for Analysis and Forecasting "Open World", JSC "Astana Diplomatic Corps Services Department".

The departments of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University also serve as bases for professional practice - the Department of International Cooperation, the Department of International Relations.
Students are also given the right to independently search for professional practice bases. Often, such student initiatives stem from goals: what company or organization they would like to work for in the future, what functions they would like to perform. The opportunity to apply knowledge of foreign languages in practice is of great importance for international relations students. An important point when students independently choose a place of practice is the compliance of the organization’s profile with the EP “International Relations”.
The main bases for students’ professional practice can be:
- departments and administrations, departments of international cooperation of ministries and departments of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- representative offices of international organizations;
- international departments of national, state, private commercial enterprises, transnational companies;
- representative offices of foreign non-governmental organizations;
